Degrees and programs

With more than 60 undergraduate majors, 50 graduate programs and bachelor programs for adults, including evening / weekend classes, the college remains one of the largest universities in the United States of America.

Starting as a Liberal Arts College, the University has expanded its curriculum to include teacher training, medical education, social work and nursing. It began with graduate programs in 1954 through a training program in 1974, a Business School in 1976, biological and biomedical sciences division in 1983, the School of Pediatric Medicine followed in 1985 and a law school in Orlando, Florida, 1999, respectively.

Campus and Library

A huge campus of 40 buildings has indoor and outdoor sports facilities and laboratories. The William Barry Memorial Library has more than 710 000 articles, including 150 electronic databases, 5,000 audiovisual materials, 2,600 periodical titles, an extraordinary collection of American Catholics and documents in connection with Operation Pedro Pan.

The University promotes athletic championships in 14 sports for men and women. The main sports include rowing, softball, volleyball, baseball, men and women, cross country, men’s and women’s basketball, men and women men’s golf and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis.

Student Activity and publication

There are also many student organizations, student government, honor societies and fraternities and sororities on campus operations. WBRY station is student-run campus radio with the student DJs play all types of Classic Rock, Jazz, Pop, Hip Hop, talk shows, sports and Daily News.

Barry Buccaneer is the name of 8-16 pages student newspaper, from September to May, it published It is entirely run by students of the university when it is edited, writing, design or advertising.
